During late fall when the transition from the warmth of summer to the short days of a bitter winter, the days host an indifference to the needs of humans. Not yet resigned to fewer hours of daylight and temperatures that slow the pace of nature, photographers look for ways to illustrate the day and its beauty. The photos don’t always have to great but the search must be expansive and determined.
